I looked at a ford website and found the colors they had for the year of my car. The closest ones were teal and deep forest green. I know my car has the original paint because I have owned it since new. It has too much blue in it to be deep forest green, but it has too much green in it to be teal. What color is this? It is just a few shades lighter than deep forest green.

Check on the drivers door. The color code is in the model number. If that sticker is gone try the firewall.

Every car has a paint number stamped on the body from the factory. You can call your local automotive paint supplier and find out where that stamp is located on your car. It will give the correct paint number. The paint supplier can also provide you with a color chart of the available colors for your particular year model. Just look them up in your phone book. The internet might not be able to help you here. Sometimes the "old way" is still easier.

Your car has a label on it provided for that purpose. (That is, to tell you what kind of paint to buy). You can probably find it pretty easily, but if not, go to the auto paint store and they'll probably know where it is. They're usually under the hood, near or on the cowl, but I'm not guaranteeing anything.
