It's a 1999 Chevy Camaro 3.8l. Right now it has just stock exhaust on it and i need to put some aftermarket exhaust on it. I guess some custom stuff or just whatever can run me under $300.

If youz got a v6 dont waste money on a duel exhaust just go to autozone and check out the cherrybomb or thrush glasspak mufflers they got that will give that Camaro some roar. Its easy to install yourself too.

Check jet performance.com or Hypertech.comalso Jegs performance.com. Most performance exhaust systems will run at least 300 or400 because if its performance you want then headers are also part of the package. You could just put a performance muffler on only but the performance will be less than optimal. Just depends how far you want to take it. By the way headers + complete performance exhaust system will result in about 30 35 HP gain. If you want more add a k&N performance filter=another 14 to 17 HP gain.

I would call some of your local muffler shops and ask them what is available for your car under $300 bucks. Get the prices from 3 or 4 different places and then make a decision. Mineke, Midas, Mr. Muffler is a few in my area. I am not sure if they are in your area but pull out the yellow pages and go from there. Good luck.

For me, a V6 with loud exhaust sounds goofy. Now, a big block eng with headers and turbo mufflers sounds REALLY nice.

Putting a V6 into a Camaro is like taking a 357 magnum and modifying it to shoot .22 rounds, don't you think?

I put a Flowmaster 50 series on my 2000 camaro V-6 3.8L and I put daul tips on it. It doesnt sound like a V-8 but when you hear it you can tell its an american muscle car not some rice-burner!!! So I say go for a Flowmaster!!!

a v6 with a nice cat back has a cool European sound, a glass pack will make it sound like a sick cow, try a corvair turbo copy, they sound alright and were designed for a 6 cyl.
