walmart has a 3 year extended warranty for 103.00 it covers 100% of repairs. if they have to fix the same problem 3 times, they just replace it. it even covers someone coming out to fix it. my friend bought a hp desktop for over 2 grand at circuit city. her extended warranty cost over 500 dollars. that's alot

yep, that's an excellent deal. for a comparison i just checked the same laptop on the HP homepage if self customized.
price: $1124
3 year extended warranty: $200
so you save about $300 at Walmart, not bad ;)
don't wait too long with your decision, these deals are sold out very fast.

Sounds like a decent price. The more important question is what kind of warranty is provided in that price? A lot of things can go wrong with a computer and then depending on the problem that warranty can come in really handy. I haven'tlooked a prices for a while so you might shop around. If it helps I'mwriting on a well used HP laptop right from 2002.

Sounds good...now heres what you do!
Once bought it will be under a standard 1 year HP warrenty. After about...10 months call HP and buy a 3 year careplan for about $150. This in effect...gives you a 4 year warrenty...just a slight trick I've picked up with HP and some other companies

Without knoiwing the model number it would be a bit hard to say. But, what you have quoted seems to be in the right ballpark. HP is a reasonably solid performer and fairly reliable machine. Some issues have been seen as they have somewhat down graded some of thier parts to cheaper components but on the whole a solid and robust machine and at that price i think that it will serve you well. take the extended warrenty if given , just ib case. lol

My HP laptop is great! Mine isn't as fancy as the one you in which you are interested, but the price sounds right for the features.

Get it!!
