Italians are on the top of our list of friends after England. We have so many Italians in the US that every one has some Italian friends.I do not think the Italians in Italy know how much we like them in the US. I love the elephant in the square in Catania. I know most were hoping for Italy in the cup.There are more Italians in New York than in Rome. 90% of restaurants in US are Italian. I just cannot think of any thing to say that is negative about Italy and I hope to be standing on Etna next fall. They are a very nice and kind people. God bless them all.

I don't know how "Americans" view Italians. I am an American, and I think they are fine people. (Sexy, too!) The men are spoiled by their mamas, and the women are beautiful. Almost all Italian-Americans I know are fun-loving, honest and Catholic!
What were you getting at?

Great people. Great culture. Many of the ones that have immigrated here over the years and their descendents have added another brilliant color to the mosaic that is America.

theres kind of a stigma ..ya know all italians are in the "mafia"... but thats just TV shows and ignorance...all i know is they have a rich culture and make amazing food

WHY DO WHITE PEOPLE put themselves in subcategories? I'm black and to me white people are all white. I can't tell a Jew from a Italian or a Spainiard from a German.
