When you rate an answer here with a thumbs down, do you do it becuase you think is incorrect-counterproducing-not informative-not related to the question, or simply because you disagree with the answerer? Gimme a break! (and i mean the questions about human affairs and stuff that don't have a "true" wel defined answer)

But to answer your question, I base it on how informative and helpful the answer is. But I'll give a thumbs down if the spelling or grammar is horrible. Or the one word, yes or no...that annoys me, they are asking the question for our thoughts, info and opinions!

If they're being rude in any way, especially racism, I give a thumbs down. If they sound like they really know what they're talking about, and the spelling is correct, I give them a thumbs up.
