Is it hard to become a nurse?

Evaluate why you want to be a nurse. Anything worth having is worth working for.

To answer your question if you take enjoyment in sciences such as Anatomy and physiology, chemistry, and biology. You will do well. Those are the prerequisites that frustrate most aspiring nurses. The other nursing classes aren't to bad these are your vocational experience and what you will actually be applying in your practice.

You also have several entry points to nursing. the first is the
LPN/LVN License Practical Nurse - normally takes about a year to complete the program and most employment opportunities are in nursing homes or as med nurse in hospitals.
The next route is the ASN or associate degree Registered Nurse/RN this is your traditional staff level nurse normally takes to years to complete or 1year after LPN completion.
The third route is the BSN or Bachelors degree prepared nurse generally takes about 4 years to complete, but allows you to grow into nursing leadership.

The difficulty only depends on your desire to succeed and your willingness to persevere.

i would suggest you shadow various nurses to get an idea onwhat the position entails. i have been a nurse for about a year and find it to be one of the best career paths available.

no not hard at all. all it takes is dedication to study. strong stomach to take all the gore you will bound to see. the will to want to help people no matter what.
nurse aide only takes a yr in school to be state ceritified
licensed practical nurse (some places has licensed vocational nurse) takes another yr in school more advanced study using what was learned in nurses aide class
registered nurse will 2 more yrs in school well advanced stuff with a yr of residency alike a dr.

Yep, but try try try and you will get there, I wouldnt want it to be easy then we might have idiots in nursing and that would be a scary thought, when my life is hanging by a thread I want someone that knows what they are doing.
