'00 Alero Problem(s)?

Question

So, i've had some problems with my alero lately.

For one, the Service Engine Soon light came on. Since there are numerous things that could be wrong with this light on, which is it most likely to be and how can i find out what it is?

Also, my right passenger power door lock won't automatically lock. Everytime i want to unlock the door, i have to reach over to unlock it by hand. What could be wrong?? And how much would it approximately be to fix it?

One more question :)
Is there any way to power up my little 2.4l engine on it to get a faster acceleration? (for a reasonable price)?

Autozone or most auto parts stores will run a free check to tell you exactly what is causing your check engine light to come on. As far as the power lock it is probably somewhere in the switching system ie loose connection etc. $ to fix will depend on what is causing the problem of course. Try ebay for items to speed up your acceleration. Try replacing your speed chip. $40

If you go to auto zone auto parts they will read your trouble codes for you and also turn off the lite. Could be any number of things that pertain to your emission system. Don't know about your other problems.
