Ok...let's say you were born blind. You have never seen your husband/wife's face, the sky...etc. Would you give up your hearing for the rest of your life to be able to know what sight is? What about if you were born deaf? Would you give up your sight for the rest of your life to hear a band? Hear your mother's voice? etc

I would give up sound for sight. As a deaf person you can still live a very independent life, but when your blind you have to be more dependent on other people for every day things.

Of the two options, I would have to keep hearing at the sacrifice of sight. I can feel some things to "see" them but I can't make up for lack of hearing with anything else. And I love music waaaaay too much to go without it.

I would certainly give up my hearing in order to see. Nothing is more powerful than the wonders of sight... :)
