I don't see why the most respected Muslim leaders were not immediately asked to perhaps film denouncements to be televised on Al-Jazeera pleading for an end to the terrorist attacks. If the Quran is a book of peace then could they not quote it as reasoning for stopping the bloodshed.

I am aware that American Imams denounced the violence to Americans. What I question is why wasn't the very first thing suggested by White House advisors to ask them to film denouncements in Arabic to be aired on AL-Jazeera pleading to the actual perpetrators. If Islam is truly a peaceful religion, than that seems like it would appeal to their most fundamental beliefs. If all this violence is done in Allah's name than wouldn't respected teachers of the Quran be capable of effectively swaying the terrorists' decision to not carry out terrorist acts.

They did not do that immediately, because they have problem of priorities, instead of correcting the mistakes within islamic society, they deny it and they blame it on the "misunderstanding" of the western people to islam and the "islamophobia". so unfortunately, they spend all their time bashing on other non-muslims and anyone criticize islam and forgot or make themselves forget to correct their mistakes. there is arabic proverb saying "loud your voice, you win the debate". lol, this is exactly what they are trying to do.

They did indeed denounce those attacks, and I clearly remember seeing those statements on network news reports. In fact, Muslim nations and leaders around the world expressed outrage, sorrow, and dismay over the attacks, as they have for all other acts of violence committed in the name of Islam.

I don't think there is an Imam in the united states that DIDN'T denounce the 9-11 "terrorist attacks".
You suggested that they...........MAKE A FILM!?!?!?!?
How about giving them a lie detector test, or shave their beards as a sign of loyalty?
Are you sick? They did not commit any crime nor were involved in any way!
How about all of the Catholic priests in America get raped in the A $$, in a video, as a plea to the (assumed) minority of priests who who rape little kids to stop their behavior?
American Muslims and Imams have nothing to prove.

They did, and they have been denouncing the killing of innocent people ever since 9/11. If only the major media outlets would report on this!

Just because you don't see something doesn't mean its not there. They're not gona get on prime time TV and make statements when people are looking for their American Idol or some other gay sit-com or whatever on their TV set. Did you even search on Google before you asked that?
