Well hon, if you like museums you're coming to the right place- google museums in London, there are so many it's impossible to list them all here. Also be sure to visit Oxford and Manchester (Lowry museum & gallery) also Liverpool has a fantastic cultural and artistic heritage with lots of galleries and museums especially showing works by local artists. Don't be daunted, England tiny and you could cram all that into a week ( a very busy week!) Welcome to England and Enjoy!!

The V&A museum is lovely and so is the Tate. The museum of modern art normally has a brilliant exhibition on - it is near picadilly. And because they are all free in london you can wonder in and out of as many museums as you like. ( although exhibitions normally have fees) The Royal academy of arts has what looks like an interesting free exhibition of FRank Bowling on until march- worth a visit!
The national gallery and National portrait gallery are liked by many though for me the art is a bit old and doesnt inspire me in the same way - although your tastes may be different.
Here is a URL that will take you to a page with many links to museums in London http://congokid.com/links/artgallerylinks/index.htm
Have a lovely time in England! (bill brysons book on England is great)

London has a lot of Museums. Please get a list from travel bureau. But you can start with British Museum. I would suggest, if you get time and money you can visit Paris where you have more museums and art galleries. Best of Luck.

It depends where you'll be staying/visiting. England has hundreds of cities, towns and villages. Many have great art galleries and museums. London isn't the be all and end all you know!

Google the Tate gallery.
Hop on the chunnel train (Eurostar) and go to Paris and visit the Louvre. Dirt cheap admission and well worth the visit.
Use London as a base and go to Europe!!
Don't hug English people. We DON'T LIKE IT! You'll end up getting your pockets picked too.
