I don't have time to really get into this question right now but I will at least speak alittle of my peace.

I have taken a few years of logic, I definately appreciate what I've learned. So many people say things which may or may not be true, but the logical or illogical argument they bring is key.

I've learned this over the years and it helps considerably when I am speaking or debating etc.

The single greatest loss of today's society is- the first rule one learns in logic, Truth is truth and it is constant.

True for me cannot be untrue for you. It must either be true or false, now whether you believe it is true may be what you believe, but it does not effect the fact that it is true, vise versa.

Sad. With the teaching that it's true for me, but not for you, how can anyone teach, learn or debate in such unstable platform.

I could go on for hours, but I must leave.

I majored in Philosophy in college. Yes, by all means, I have heard of them. Alexander the Great was Aristotle's pupil. He actually bought Aristotle an elephant as a gift once. Plato is just awesome. All of the above philosophers are exceptional. Too bad we don't have any of Socrates' actual writings.

Plato and Aristotle are philosophers.
Socrates is a wise man!
Socrates introduced scientific induction method, which gives meaning of argument!
From those and Pre-Socratic wise people we can talk of logic and science!
Acquiring knowledge is first by senses, then by logic, following by intuition and soul - spirit!

Love has been taught by Socrates, more than any other person existed! Throughout his life and up to the time of his execution, he was calm and did everything due to his love to people, nature, his city! If you ask about the love between two people, it is the tie that make these people the closest to be god!

Existence! Well, we are composed of matter (our body), spirit (logic) and soul (Aristotle has described the composition of the soul (!)!!
