I am very optmistic about our future. I think that in the future people will work just like we do hobby or sports or recreational work. Everything will be free because there will always be people to do all kinds of jobs that need to be done. Cleaning and mundane jobs by computer servants !!! Lots of Values change will be needed. Afterall if you can get your food, lodging, clothes, Medicine, Education, Communication & Transportation free, you wouldn't want to accumulate wealth (power?) and then everybody can use their energy to do what they like of course, we can also check with the internet what needs to be done locally / globally in order to direct our efforts to something useful and needed. A long way to go and very complicated but the basic idea being it. Your thoughts?

Interesting question. One thing for sure is that food will NEVER be free. Why? Because it's such dam hard work to produce it and it takes so much dam land! Just go to a farm and see what I mean. This is the kind of work that will never be fully automated. And the cost of property taxes, equipment maintenance and land upkeep will always keep the cost of food high enough to make people work for it. Sorry.

this is almost the basic premise of socialism. It sounds really good on paper, and would be awesome if it could work, but the human factors of greed and ambition always bring its downfall. Look at all of the nations where everything was "free" and everyone was "equal", with no more or no less that any other person. China, North Korea, USSR...

not to knock the idea, because I'd love to see it happen, it's just that people make it damn near impossible.

It is not so. This ll contradict the law of existence.. Every one in the world ll surely ve some differenence in behaviour..
It is really good to know educational contents are available free of cost.. This ll only make others to switch over to a free and as time being the worth of that ll be decayed.
Remember anything available for free of cost ll surely lose its worth.
