I would guess they can look like they are yawning but they are probably not yawning.

As you may know, yawning is an autonomic reaction of the brain when the brain isn't receiving enough oxygen so the brain tells the lungs to take a deep breath to get some oxygen to the head!

So babies in the womb don't use their lungs so I would think the brain wouldn't tell the body to yawn. I could be wrong though...

I don't think they do. Babies are floating in liquid inside the uterus. They sure need oxygen, but it is provided by the mother, so, they don't have the need to yawn. When a person yawns, they breath and then expulse the air. There is no air the uterus, so they can't yawn.

Unborn babies do yawn. Just because they are not born does not mean they require oxygen for cell life and organ function.

why not. if it can open its mouth to suck its own thumb so there is a possibilty for yawning.

yes! a fetus can yawn, suck its fingers,swallow, pee, grimace, and make breathing movements in its chest.

yes they do. and they do it a lot, probably to practice their muscles for when they are born.
