Ive been hearing recently that facebook is owned by the government especially after they've got the newsfeed and other recent adds on facebook...I wanted to know is it a rumor or do you believe the question has some truth to it?

as far as i know, facebook is owned and maintained by some students at harvard. They just turned down an offer from another company to buy it.

i believe it is owned and operated by usa government I think it was built by gates who also helped usa government in nsa operations the guys only a ploy face book censors American's they take things off they will take a piece and delete the info they take sides and will not let people post what they do not want any one else to see yes face books government controlled like our credit cards debit cards telephones health records

It's not owned by the government, and it is possible for your profile to be deleted. I don't exactly know how, but if you die, then your relatives can delete it.

Facebook dummies freely surrender there privacy. GOV ownership is not needed.
If they deem you a terrorist they only need to search you.
