Question : do you have a wiring harness to a trailer hitch?

either way you need to look under the car at the right back light fixture and follow the wires to the first or second junction. You have a constant "hot" wire shorting your light to stay on all the time. There are two circuits to the bulb - 1 is the running light when the lights are on and 2 is the turn signal wire. This one draws power from the blinker box under the dashboard to the 4 lights.

I asked about a trailer hitch because they are generally spliced intot he wiring harness in the center back of the car. First place to check - and if it is a snap connector just unplug it to see if the problem clears and work toward the light.

Sounds like a wiring problem or could be your combi switch on the steering column. Try replacing both front and back bulbs first. I had a similar problem and it was the switch on the column.

WTF??????????????????

Fix all your bulbs, this is a feature that tells you one of your lights has failed.

Why are you even driving without all your lights working?????
