Reagan.

Sure the companies have told us to not fear global warming, or globalization, but I think in the long run we will regret both. The thing is I don't think Ronnie forsaw how the world would go with his economic changes. I don't think he would have made them if he knew how many americans would not be able to afford the cost of living. There is no reason for Clinton or Bush's ignoring the environmental decline. It is disgusting. And the only things they are willing to do is basically put a bandaid on a headshot wound.

You didn't say American, so I nominate Kaiser Wilhelm II.

He was arrogant, pompous, and a sabre rattling (used to wear a real sabre at his waist all the time) moron.

He was so vain that he had at least 12 personal valets, who traveled with him where ever he went. They oversaw a collection of hundreds of uniforms - each more preposterous than the last.

Wilhelm took a very prosperous Germany and destroyed it economically - one might even say - setting the stage for Hitler by making his own people so destitute.

He dismissed Bismarck - one of the most gifted German politicians of all time and certainly an architect of what had been a very successful Germany.

Perhaps, one of Wilhelm's most amazingly stupid moments was when, at the beginning of WWI he had what he regarded as a 'bright idea.' He would suggest to his relative, the then emperor of Mexico to invade the USA in order to retake Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. Wilhelm told his dazed advisors that he made the suggestion so that America would be too busy at home to enter WWI. The Brits intercepted the stunning communique and sent to Washington - shortly after, it appeared in newspapers all over the USA - where it stirred up considerable resentment, especially in Texas.

At the end of WWI, everyone in Germany from politicians, to Wilhelm's advisors all begged him to sue for peace. Wilhelm refused over and over - and couldn't be convinced to surrender and stop the killing until he was informed that the loyalty of the army could no longer be guaranteed.

He surrendered, left his generals to sign the treaties and abandoned his Germany to some of the worst post war inflation ever experienced (it was said that a wheelbarrow full of cash was needed to buy a loaf of bread).

I can't imagine anyone worse than this guy...

Illinois used to have the worst, yet he's in Washington now. Alaska's governor became very common, the only people who hated her have been the morons who knew little approximately her, made stuff up.

There is no hot debate about Ford pardoning Nixon. Ford was a good man and did what needed to heal the country. There is very little criticism today about what Ford did. As far as a truly lousy politician of the time Jimmy Carter was a failure above all. History and even your liberal history lists Carter as a miserable failure. At least Ford did one thing right, pardoning Nixon

There is a famous quotation "Politics is the last resort for a scoundrel" generalizes politicians. I do not know whether this will apply to all politicians. Again could you tell what is the parameter to define good, bad and worst in Politics?

It all depends on what your definition of 'worst' is. If it's just plain incompitence, Jimmy Carter stands front and center. If we're talking knowingly doing poorly, that one might go to outgoing UN Leading Idiot Kofi Annan. Talk about a steaming pile of corruption......if this new guy wants to have any shot at restoring the UN to any prestige, he would have to bring Annan to justice.

No, Ford did the right thing for the nation at the time. We needed to move on.

Nixon was a great president. He just got caught. Your naive if you think that other presidents dont have their scandels.

If George W. Bush isnt the biggest criminal on the planet...I dont know who could top him. Anyone who supports him obviously hasnt read the constitution and should be ashamed of themselves!

I'd have to agree with Marion Berry.. and to think that he was RE-elected is beyond belief. The chocolate mayor comes in a close second because of all the lives he cost by waiting... and he was re-elected as well.. (shake head)

Matt Blunt, for the cuts he made in Missouri Medicaid, and other changes he made to screw the working poor.
