If you watch the credits for the movie "Night at the Museum", Owen Wilson never gets mentioned despite having a large role in the movie. Why is that?

Doesn't say "why", but he really isn't.

Although Stiller is clearly the star player, Museum ’s ensemble effort really makes the film. Williams chews it up as the larger-than-life Roosevelt, with all his sage advice and “bully for you, son!”s. Ricky Gervais joins in as the museum’s snippy director, who tries to be a Mr. Smarty Pants but isn’t very articulate. Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney even make appearances as the old guards Larry is replacing, and it’s great to see the 80-plus legends doing the comedy thing again. But the stand-outs are Stiller's old pal Owen Wilson (who isn’t credited in the film) and Steve Coogan (Around the World in 80 Days) as miniaturized figurines—Wilson’s a Old West diorama cowboy, Coogan, a warmongering Roman emperor—who are constantly at odds with one another. Of course, Stiller is always good, especially at the physical comedy, as well as being a master at the reactive shot. His reactions to playing fetch with the gigantic skeletal T-Rex or playing slap happy with a whip-smart Capuchin monkey are priceless.

all of those you observed did take their communities to the playoffs final 12 months. in case you're asking who will repeat that feat? Wilson and Kapernick yet those communities could get there with or with out them. Neither of them is the main useful part of those communities. could say no to RG III this 12 months. And success, a solid possibly, he will through a few distance have the better long term profession than any of the different 3.

i noticed immediately that he wasn't on the opening or end credits. i thought it was strange, though, that the only other time i've noticed that is when ben stiller played the mean and crazy orderly in happy gilmore with adam sandler. since there such good friends, perhaps it's a thing they think is funny. who can do the biggest part w/out getting credit.

Stiller and Owen kind of remind people of those old comedy duos Martin and Lewis,Bob hope and Bing Crosby so when not working together will make little cameos in each others films.
just as a show of support.

His part wasn't that big...he was three inches tall!!! :) Seriously, kinda weird though...cause he's a well known actor these days, you would think they would have him in the credits...it could have been a typo somewhere...it might be fixed in the dvd when it's released.

It's true that he wasn't mentioned. I don't know why but he; together with Steve Coogan as Octavious do have the funniest lines in the movie.

It's probably for the same reason he was uncredited in Rushmore. Like the previous poster said, I think it's due to his friendship with Stiller.

he has to be credited in the movie. They wouldn't put him in the ads if he wasn't
