They are called the new orleans/oklahome city hornets because Hurricane Katrina ruined everything in New Orleans si they combined the two teams so they players oculd still play even though new Orleans was a mess. It was a good thing to do now the players still get to play.

They play in Oklahoma City coz of Katrina but they did not wish to drop the N.O. part since it is still New Orleans's franchise
