I had to drive in that storm and I was a nervous wreck. it was like an arctic whiteout on the road I was driving on. I was the only car around. I could hardly tell where the road was and I was afraid of getting stuck or sliding off the road.

It's fun if you get to stay in and watch the snow pile up. It was dead silent by around 6pm. The snow dampens the sound. Everyone was off the roads except for an occasional snow plow. It was a lot of trudging, in snow nearly to the top of my thighs, just to get up the driveway to the mailbox.

The next day we had to dig our cars out and everyone pitched in shoveling out part of the driveway so the cars could move. The main roads got cleared quickly. But many back streets stayed buried and it was very difficult to drive on them. The snow made them like little alleyways so that only one car could pass at a time.

It's beautiful, really a sight to see.

it'd be a blast!-as long as you were somewhat ready for it. I live in northern MN, and am wishing for some of that snow...I've got all the toys that make snow fun...but not enough snow to play in. Think about it...you can go and dig yourself a snow house...snowball fights would be great with endless ammunition...if you hit the ditch-it wont hurt because there's so much snow...ten foot snowmen would be easy to make...and if you got a snowmobile-I'd love to be there now
