i say definately make a doctors apt. make it now if you can, but if not then do it first thing in the morning. if her headache worsens then go straight to the E.R. is probably just a migraine due to the fact she's had a period for a month, but they can give her medication to help with it at the E.R. but it could be more serious, and its not worth the risk to let it go away on its own. for now have her lie down in a dark room and put a cool rag on her forehead for comfort. Make sure she is drinking plenty of fluids also.

If she is crying because of the pain, she needs to be seen by a doctor.
Ask her if she wants to wait or not. If not, take her to the ER.

But it sounds like there are two different problems going on. The month long period could wait for the office visit but the headache could be a migraine and need to be treated.

She should definitly go see a doctor. If she is having severe pain then yes, I would definitly take her to the ER. There could be something seriously wrong. Goodluckk.

My goodness, a straight month. Yes she needs to seek medical attention at once. It could be a ruptured cyst or many other things. If she is in pain, that is her body telling her that something is not right. I hope she listens.

It sound like she going through menopause. Yes take her to the doctor so they can run test to know for sure. Sometime they will put her on birth control to stop the bleeding.
