I think religion is the science of controlling societies of people and imposing a moral and behavioral standard. The problem comes in when one group believes their moral standard is the right one for everyone. It's a large world with an incomprehendable number of individual "worlds" walking around in their own skins. Each of us must find our own standards. I believe that the "moral" behavior of this world would be much more peaceful and respectful if this truth were respected.

no, you do what you do, because you feel like do in it, no religion will stop you from do in something you wanna do or don't wanna do, they only tell you what may happen (consequences) if you do it, that can be Buddhism, Catholic or other
So science of behavior? No I don't think so, they can't tell what people are gonna be like if they follow certain religion

Do you mean controling their behavior,YES....................
Cause, without religion human will start living like an animal. Religion is like a lease which tame the beast within and make him live like humans. Humans are made peace loving and caring individual through his or her affinity with the god or Religion.
Only problem with this theory is that, some people kill by the name of god...................
