I've heard recent reports where white women are given more attention in the media then minority women. They labeled this MWWS or Missing white women syndrome. Who came up with this term?

We are all running away! LOL.... should tell you that being a white woman isn't all it's cracked (no pun intended) up to be.

I don't know but it seems to be true. A missing black girl doesn't seem to get nearly the same amount of coverage of a missing white girl.

On the news a few days ago there was a story about a kidnapped white girl. It was carried on all the TV news channels and was front page news on many newspapers. An award was offered for any information leading to her return.

During the same period of time a black girl was kidnapped and she got no coverage. The black girl is a straight A+ student, played classical violin or piano, I forget which, and she had just received a full scholorship to an Ivy League school. The only person looking for her was her father who was handing out fliers and going door to door asking if anyone had seen his daughter.

It doesn't sound fair does it, in fact it's downright sad. Does the skin color of a missing girl determine how much news coverage a kidnapped girl story gets? The answer without a doubt is yes and that is almost as much as a tragedy as the kidnapping itself.

the sole time a guy or woman gets national coverage is that if the case is extensive Its stressful as hell for a white guy or woman to get national coverage to boot and that i don't think of race has something to do with it. Natalee Ann Holloway (born October 21, 1986) disappeared on would 30, 2005, throughout the time of a severe college commencement holiday to Aruba, a Caribbean u . s . a . interior the dominion of the Netherlands. An American student from Mountain Brook, Alabama, Holloway graduated from Mountain Brook severe college on would 24, 2005, presently in the previous the holiday.[3] The disappearance led to a media sensation contained in united statesa..[4] worldwide shuttle and replaced right into a school student replaced right into a secret to all people. It somewhat purely relies upon on the case guy. some toddler daddy taking his youngster and working off through fact his loopy *** female chum wont enable him see his youngster isn't gonna get national coverage. And believe me whilst all people is going lacking white or black they make confident human beings be attentive to approximately it. in spite of if or not this is myspace or television Has all people appeared to think of that perchance white each and every person is abducted greater oftentimes? This somewhat is kinda a undesirable portion of play the descrimination card on as lacking black each and every person is pronounced to boot and alot do make national coverage. yet is somebody being killed or lacking somewhat something to be chuffed approximately?
