I found something at Frys.com which is a micro connector level 5 patch cord, but i don't know if it is what i need or just another ethernet cable like the one i got with my xbox 360 because on the cable i got with my 360 it calls it a cat 5 patch cord and so i don't know which cable to get that would just make my ethernet cable i got from my 360 longer.

most cat 5 bundles can span up to 100' easy. you can pick up a cable that's like 25' for $15 at your local hardware store.

You can buy a longer cat-5 cable for pretty reasonable. A Patch cable and a straight through cable mean the same thing so when you go get a new cable look for a cable that says straight through or patch.

Hi

You just need a longer Cat5 ethernet cable - patch cables are the same just shorter :) - just make sure its not a "twisted" cat5 cable (that is used to connect 2 pcs)

Good luck ;)

just get a new patch cord. any cat5 cable should do. cat5 is a twisted pair cable, whether it is 1000' ft long or 1 ft long. ethernet cable or patch cord is same thing.

You might be better off just getting yourself a new, longer cable. They're a pretty common product and you can find one most anywhere - Staples, Best Buy, probably even WalMart.

just go to any electronic store and tell them what you want to do , theyll give you what you need

e.g: staples, office depot, source, radio shack, best buy, futureshop, etc

u either need a longer patch (straight through) cord or a straight through rj45 (cat 5) coupler and another straight through cord for the other end
