I'm against rap artist who could only rap about cars and other type of materialistic things, anybody with me

Question

I use to leason to rappers who rap about this type of stuff with cool beats, but I don't feel it in my soul anymore. I want to hear about stuff that matters in life, I know that it's what people buys and it's hard to stop rapping about that type of stuff because they sell their records that way, but I am not going to support those type of rap artist anymore

I agree....Kool in the gang. Remember The Bestie Boys?! Brass Monkey? Sabotage? They started this Hybrid thing too not linkin park....even though theyre ok. But I do remember when Rap (hip hop) had a meaning! PoWeR To The PeoPLe!

I agree! Rap used to be cool and have a positive message (eg. Melle Mel and the Furious Five-"White Lines", "The Message") or was fun and innovative (The Beastie Boys, Run DMC). Now it's just a bunch of thugs or wannabe thugs rapping about cars, bling, cars and chicks! Rap isn't good anymore and all these losers rap about the same things! Rappers like 50 Cent, Snoop, Paul Wall, Jim Jones, Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, etc. all suck!

I don't care for rap or the gansta lifestyle to begin with and I sure don't want to hear about killing cops, degrading women as your ho's and hating whitey. I find it to be disgraceful and I sure don't like to hear the N word being used in the songs. I like old time soul and Motown type music where the artists were truly talented and made good music. Now that ws really Old School!
