bone spurs on the spine. can i get rid of them with out surgery?

I have bone spurs on the spine. it is causing pain some times. can they be taken care of with out the surgery;

The blunt and correct answer is no they cannot be taken care of except surgery. Even after surgery there is no guarantee they will not grow back.
