i am the head cheerleader and a nerd wants to be on my squad will i really dont want her because i would eventually snap on her should i let her give it a shot or say hecks no?

Please do not perpetuate the stereotype of cheerleaders as the evil, stuck-up, cliqueish person. As the head cheerleader you are supposed to be a leader, if you can't control your emotions when it comes to your squad then maybe you shouldn't be the head cheerleader. Discrimination is never okay. Why would you snap on her, just because she is different from you? Is she smarter than you? Do you feel threatened by her? Please, grow up and recognize what's what. If she can cheer, and rightfully deserves a place on the squad then give it to her. Don't be a jerk and please don't live up to the negative things people already think about when they hear or see cheerleaders. Toodleloo.

First of all, I have to say that you must have some negative feelings about this girl...but you didn't say why.
You didn't indicate what your school regulations are on try outs. Are you the soul dictator of what it takes to be on "your squad"?
Just one minute young lady, as a coach of many years, I must remind you that your position as head cheerleader is to work together as a team, and to be as positive as you can in order to achieve that goal.
How do you think your negative comments about a prospective team mate would be taken by your current team mates? Have you even considered their opinions?
Take a big breath and reconsider your options here. Yes, you are the captain of the team, but this is a position that can easily be taken away for "the good of the team". I would be much more careful about judging...lest you be judged yourself.

The real question is can she cheer? If so, then she should get her shot. If not then no. Just don't turn her down because she's a nerd.
