It's hard being a parent and a teen. My daughter is 14 and likes to go to friends. Some of the other parents let their kids stay out late but I don't mine. The world is crazy and we have to be more protective because of this. It's not that we don't trust our kids-we don't trust others that try to encourage things that can harm our kids. Remember if a friend is a true friend that person will always encourage good things not bad things
(drugs, alcohol, etc.) FRIENDS WATCH OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER! Your mom will give you more freedom when she thinks you are ready. Don't rush things. Show her you are mature and make good choices such as choosing good friends. Be on time when you do get to go places. Be responsible and she will know you are ready.

You mean overprotectIVE, sweetie, not overprotectED........

And she's been through what you are going through and she would have an uncomfortable time if she just sat there and watched you make the same mistakes she made.

Not to mention it's a MUCH more dangerous world now than when she was coming up.

Your mom is just trying to look out for you and protect you. Listen to her. It'll save you from a lot of hardships. You'll have plenty of time to do what you want later on down the rode.

Your mom doesn't want you to end up doing something you later regret. I'm 16 yrs old, and I just realized that I appreciate the fact that my mom, limits what I can and cannot do. Trust and believe... the world aint cracked up to what its meant to be.

when you grow up and have your own place and learn how to write and spell, then you can do your own things, until then, shut up and listen to your mom
