Why am I one of the few people that realizes that life is slavery if you make below a certain amount? Not to mention, being bombarded by consumerism, you feel that you have to buy the newest fashions, care what movie stars think, and stay "in style." Everything is made so cheap nowadays, and people are nothing more than drones. Houses and cars are slapped together, worth a fraction of what they sell for, and yet people continue to buy way more than they can afford. The average person is in so much debt today, and yet they continue to consume garbage at a ridiculous pace. I am wondering how long capitalism can continue at this pace before it is crushed under its own weight, and the poor pick up rifles and just take what they need to survive. People need to wake up.

Not everyone thinks the same as you.
Not everyone feels the "weight" of consumerism.
Not everyone is in debt up to their eyeballs.
How much longer do you think it will take?
I'll tell you how long....forever.
Do you think this started overnight?
This has been going on and accelerating since the 50s.
The sheep will be lead to slaughter and apologize for getting any blood on you just before their head are lopped off.

Many of us realize this, and a lot of this is out of our control. But keeping with the newest fashions and caring what movie stars think is within our control. We don't have to succumb to every part that mentioned, especially the consumerism. Many of us work full time and work hard and live below the poverty level of our state or area. I am in the same boat.

We can control our attitudes and vote according to our beliefs, what else would you suggest we do?

Good statement you made...

Some people realize it, but a lot of the rich folk live with their heads stuck in the clouds.
