Iceland has alot of very ancient rocks, and a terrain very differrent from most on earth. Geology is of high interest in iceland and many of the schools have great courses in that subject. Also I heard they have a hotel that is made of ice, getting a job their would certainly make for interesting conversation.

There are all kinds of jobs in Iceland. Yes, there are colleges and banks, as well as stock exchange markets, high-tech hospitals, software companies, fish processing, food manufacturing, ecological power-plants, spas, a geological research center, tourism, construction companies, alumnium processing and all kinds of service companies and countless other fields of jobs. It's pretty similar to the kinds of jobs you can expect in other Western countries.
