no , i spotted a ringer in macclesfield Cheshire England . they should do a x factor competition for tribute bands, i bet theres a really good one out there. but they dont need to make a film about queen. unless americans are crying out for it.

Agreed with above. Appearance wise, Johnny Depp is too goodlooking-in no offence to the great Freddie Mercury, but he's such an amazing actor I think he can pull it off. I've seen quite a few of his earlier movies and he's done a wide range of roles. I think he's got a good singing voice too (He's in a movie called Cry Baby, and he's the man character-it's a musical). I can't wait to see this. I don't know who should play the other characters of Queen, and it shouldnt matter how famous they are, as long as they can do the band a bit of justice. Queen is my all-time favourite band, and it would be tragic if this movie disgraced them(although, who can sing their songs better than them?).

Johnny Depp can be just about anybody. I f he could be Gilbert Grape, Captain Sparrow, Edward Scissorhands and Donny Brasco he could be Freddie Mercury.
The other guys would have to be lesser known actors.

I don't know about who should play the other members of Queen, but Depp is a damn good actor, and I think he'll do Fredy Mercury justice. I'll go see the movie if it's ever made.

I can't think of anyone that could pull it off. Johnny Depp is a good choice though. An unknown would be best but I doubt they could find anyone that resembled him enough or had the acting talent.

I hadn't heard anything about this, but I think he would be an interesting choice. Lord knows he is a very flexible actor when it comes to different roles.

Never really liked when they made a movie of a band and actors were playing the part. Just doesn't seem logical...kind of stupid..Go for the live concerts and see how they were really...

NO, Freddie Mercury is my hero & nobody can do him justice, maybe someone but do'nt know who. I agree with helen though.
