I doubt the Sea Foam has any bearing on your noise. I have owned a couple of 22r's, carb, as well as FI. I always ran 87 unleaded in them.

By your line of questioning, it seems you think it's a spark knock. Go ahead and replace the plugs, but check (or have checked) the timing as well as the EGR operation. Those can cause the spark knock.

Also have someone familiar with th 22r listen for a timing chain slap. Those motors will stretch a chain and it rubs against the timing cover sounding a lot like a "knock". It will eventually wear a hole into the water passage and get water in the oil. You'll think head gasket, replace the gasket only to have the same problem! You can check for excessive wear by removing the valve cover.

There are of course other "knocks" they can make, but really at 124K you've got a low mileage motor! More than likely you have no real problem, but those are some things to be aware of.

Change the plugs, you are overdue. No check engine lite ?? With a knock condition, which could indicate lean fuel mix., you should get a lite. Does the engine run ok other than knock or pinging that you hear ??
