Plasic is eaisly damaged but metal can rust.. I'd say metal only because it's more durable I think that's the word.....

Plastic for leather. It won't last as long but it wont damage the leather like metal can

Metal zippers last longer but truthfully they are also easier to fix if they break. Plastic zippers break sooner and usually are not repairable.

I design clothes and i wouldn't use a plastic for a leather jacket. I say metal.

I sew a lot. you should use metal. Plastic is not strong enough to withstand the weight of the leather jacket.(longtrem)

metal looks more appropriate with a leather jacket. plastic will end up looking tacky.

metal can damage the leather, easier to zip than metal and metal is scratchy and cold
