Coke and Pepsi have two things in common. First they are major players, second they both want your business. So no, the rivalry will continue as long as both companies remain companies.

Dr Pepper. Oh please. If Dr Pepper tripled its market share it could hold either Coke or Pepsi's coat while they battle but I can't see Dr P ever amounting to much more than it already is. In fact in my area you have to look hard for the product. Nothing smaller than a major super market can afford to occupy floor space with a product that moves as slowly as Dr P does.
