I've been on the pill since October but just finished my third pack and have decided to stay off birth control for a while. I'd just like to know if there are any side effects from coming off birth control and what they might be?

Of course, as the last person said, pregnancy risk is the main "side effect" of not being on the pill, but if you take other precautions or are not having sex right now, that's not an issue.
Most women won't have any kind of side effects from stopping birth control, and their next period will come in 30 days or whatever was that your cycle lasted before. A small number, however, might experience irregular cycles for one or two months, not having periods on time or having a heavier flow.
A smaller group even might be up to six months withouth having another period.
THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE NOT FERTILE. The risk of pregnancy in irregular cycles exist, and as you can't track them, you won't know what your fertile days are. So, if for whatever reason your period is delayed, first, rule out pregnancy, then, use other form of protection.
If you are trying to concieve, however, fertility is restored quite fast, so don't worry about it. Most doctor will tell you to wait up to three months before trying, but that's only because it makes it easier to calculate the time of birth.
If you've been using birth control and are trying to concieve, it would be a good idea to start prenatal vitamines or folic acid before trying.
I hope it was not too much

Morning sickness? A continuing need to eat random and otherwise disgusting things?
