I'll assume you're in the US and you're wondering why we're having such a mild winter so far. Pure chance. Sometimes it's warm, sometimes it's cold. Don't worry, it will get cold again sooner or later.

And if you're in Australia, it's because it's summer.

Man made global warming is a fact and needs to be dealt with now. As for the weather you are seeing in Toronto, this year isn't necessarily directly due to global warming. We have to keep in mind this is an El Nino year and weather is off all around the globe right now. This year the polar front, which brings cold weather to southern Canada and the northern US during the winter is sitting much farther north this year. El Nino can also bring more severe weather in some other areas as might be happening in the west right now. El Nino is a natural occurrence, but they are not only increasing in frequency but also in severity, and this could possibly be due to global warming.
One thing to remember is that global warming is an average of global temperatures. Just because it's cold where you are right now doesn't mean there is no problem.

very unusual weather isn't it? the eastern part of the country is enjoying a warm weather, at least i am, but i do miss the snow.. well i'm not so sure if it's global warming or el nino...but i do know that cherry blossoms are blooming in washington dc..and also there are two strong jet streams instead of one and the closest jet stream is way up in the north in canada which bottles up the cold. It should snow in few weeks or so.

It is El nino and for those who say it is global warming there may be some truth to what you say. But, try to convinve the people in Denver right now that the reason it is so warm is due to global warming.

I live in PA and it should be a lot colder than this in my area. I am wondering if this is what the winters in Virginia and the Carolinas are like?

It's called a weather cycle, has been going on for centuries. The cold will be back.
