A quick and easy one:

The Slaver:

The pcs are in a region that allows slavery and observe a slavemaster ill-treating a slave. While the behavior is terrible it is also perfectly legal here and there is little the pcs can do on a public street. Afterwards, they are approached by an ernest young man who claims to represent an underground organization that is trying to put a stop to slavery and free as many slaves as possible. They have a plan but they need the help of experienced adventurers. The slavemaster they just witnessed is a powerful nobleman and dark wizard. Because his magical tower is guarded by boths spells and fierce mosnters, the regional ruler has placed the government payroll for the month in the slave master's safekeeping.

If that payroll were to be stolen a short time before payday the slave master would never disgrace himself by admitting it and would have to make good the losses from his own fortunes before the money was missed. That sum of gold would not be readily available and the Slave Master would be forced to liquidate his assets by selling off his slaves. They want the pcs to steal the gold, give it (or a large percentage of it) to the underground organization who will use the stolen gold to buy the slaves (at discount prices) from the Slave Master through proxies. They then plan to free the slaves and get them to safety.

The challenge in this fairly standard dungeon crawl is that the pc's must NOT kill the Slave Master. If he does none of his underlings are going to give a darn about his reputation and they will gladly turn all of his assets over to the regional lord to save their own necks. Other challenges of course include the transport of 1500 pounds of gold secretly through a crowded city. Also tough will be getting in and out of the Slave Master's compound without sounding any alarms that will almost certainly draw the city watch to reinforce the Slave Master's own guards.

The underground organization may or may not be what they seem. Maybe they really are ernest do-gooders in the fine tradition of the "Underground Railroad" or maybe they are a group of the Slave Master's chief political rivals or maybe they are a secretive cabal of deranged cultists who plan to sacrifice the purchased slaves in a bloody summoning ritual inteded to bring dark demons into the world.

To gain a reputation as a truly evil GM be sure to include chests of fool's gold that look just like the payroll shipment but are actually worthless. Watch your player's jaws drop when they realize that all their hard work was wasted when they brought back the wrong chests of gold.

Well.. there are so many. haha. Each adventure/quest is supposed to be customized to the party that is playing it.
Got a group of spellcasters? A run in with a magical cult might be in order.
Raving Barbarians? Maybe a rite of passage, or defending against a bandit raid and eventually striking back?
A mixed group? Sneaky guys?
It's all about the party.

Edit:
Well then, you have a bit of a task ahead of you. Take into account level, equipment, -spells- ( really mess with plots. " Ok,m the only door out is to the east. It sounds like there is something big and nasty out there though. " " Haha! No porblem! MASS TELEPORT! " o_o ), actual player skill, and intrest levels.

The DnD website has a few good premade adventures, but to be a GM you gotta learn fast about making adventures.
