If your old card is intergrated on the board diable it in BIOS if you juat want to swap card do it but first delete the olds cards software remove it replace with new card and run the new ones software

one more thing many people dont know this but video cards come in AGP PCI and PCI-E AGP and PCI-E come in diffrent speeds also YOU MUST FIND OUT BEFORE WHICH CARD YOUR MOTHERBOARD CAN ACCEPT

I used to have this card and never had this problem nor heard of any voodoo to get it working. The most trouble I had was having to reinstall the geforce drivers after reinstalling windows. This was never hard, even in 16 colours. That and when the ballbearings went in the fan it sounded scratchy but otherwise worked fine for gaming for AGES and AGES. Replacement fans are only about $10 anyway if you ever experience this problem later on. If your screen is blank, check to make sure that the monitor is receiving an ON signal from your computer at boot up (same as a tv light on the front). Double check to make sure your monitor is plugged into the power and that all your cables are connected properly. If you have a second monitor, try plugging that on in instead. I had a similar problem at work and freaked out, but then I remembered the monitor cable plugged in to both ends and that the monitor side was loose.
