I am a makeup artist and i recommend skipping out on foundation all together, particularly liquid. most women don't need it, but they feel more comfortable wearing it becasue they feel more covered.
I use concealer and a good non-comodegenic pressed powder with some coverage, on my clients. Spot conceal where you need and powder the rest. Your skin will also look a lot less red in a week becasue liquid foundations have a lot of fragrance and preservatives in them. Depending on your budget here are some good brands to look at: Trish McEvoy who also has a pressed mineral foundation, Kevyn Aucoin are wonderful but a little more pricey, Loreal is also a good option and less expenxive.

I use BareMinerals...I use it everyday and it's very light and it has sunscreen in it too. And the cost is around $40-60 for starters kit but it has everything u need and it will last you for a while cause u don't use a whole bunch also it doesn't clog up ur pores and ur skin looks very smooth and clean. Try it, u will not be disappointed.
P.S.- If you don't like it you can return it.

I like Nars or Smashbox's Powder Foundation. I've used Bare Minerals and hated it, but it's good for others. I don't like Mac. Bobbi Brown makes a great one, as does Prescriptives.

I have to say, the mineral makeups seem to be the best ever. I've been using larenim and my skin is the best it's ever been! Try the mineral makeups...the don't have all the chemicals that are in the "regular" makeups.

I use covergirl true blend mouse fondation , i used to work at ulta and i used bareminerals and its not all that great and i have had many experiences with it the problem with baremineral is its expensive and it looks powdery on some people . true blend almost has a mositurizer in it. and it does make my skin look perfect.

You know I have dry skin on my face.... I use Covergirl Tru-coverage, it's whipped mousse. It looks awesome. You should try it. It's also inexpensive compared to bare minerals and chanel.

I ADORE Mabelline's Shine Free liquid foundation. You can get it under $6 and it's not cakey at all. I'm working on my third bottle.

I really like Proactiv's makeup. It comes in a cute little case with a mirror so it's compact but there's enough to last you a while.
