It's not fair!, all my friends can fit into women sizes, and I can't! I am still a kid, and everyone still calls me a kid, and all my friends pick me up and tell me I am as light as a baby, is it because I am 13 years old, 66 pounds, and 5"2?

this is my thought. It may sound harsh, but I'll take that chance. You are 13. You are an adolescent...not a KID! YOU are too preoccupied with your weight. At 5'2'' you should weigh more. The only reason you don't is that you are either NOT eating for fear of gaining weight (you might like the attention this mal-nourished you might be getting), or you have a poor diet and eat nothing but crap, without anything that will do your body good. I don't presume I know everything about you, but this is NOT normal for a young lady, such as yourself.

START eating regular meals! AVOID pop and lots of sweets. This is where the unwanted excess weight will come from. But start eating!! Here's why:

If you remain in this state (which you can help, by the way) eventualy your hair WILL fall out! You WILL start missing periods, you WILL have severe mood swings, bordering on depression or by-bolar issues. If you continue, eventually your body will give out. Going without food can be a habit that you DON'T want! As you get older (providing you live through this) you will also have joint problems due to mal-nutrition. It's a shame that you are choosing to live this way, instead of becoming the young woman you are destined to become.

I feel your pain, when I was 13, in 8th grade, my mom still made me shop in the little girl's section, not because she didn't want me to wear the older girl clothes, but because that was the only thing I could fit in. All my other friends wore 5's and 9's in juniors and had j-lo butts but me...and I had to wear the slim sizes too. People used to call me anorexic and asked me if I ever ate and I thought that was horribly embarrassing. I saw my friend Nichole totally blossom over the summer, she used to be a stick like me, and people even asked me if she stuffed her bra because they couldn't believe the change in her. But then in 9th grade, and I was still 13, I could wear a size 1 in junior's which would be about a 0-2 in petite's which is a woman's size. There are small women in the world too so don't feel alone. But I do know that for your height you would be considered underweight by a BMI score. You probably just haven't hit that stage of puberty yet where you put on body fat like a woman. Enjoy the time you have being skinny as a model because there will always be girls that are jealous of you, like Nicole Richie or Lindsay Lohan. ;)

My sister is 5'5" and weighed about 65 lbs when she was 13. She was probably about 5'2" or 5'3" then. She's 17 now and weighs about 90 lbs. She's very athletic and has a tiny body frame, and even though her weight is low she's always been healthy. Your low weight may be relative to your body structure also. If your friends make fun of you, its only out of jealously. Most girls would kill to have a naturally petite figure. If you're concerned that you might not weight enough, talk to your parents and ask them to set you up an appointment for a physical. If you need to be concerned about your weight, the doctor will definitely let you know. Otherwise, just be patient ... when you get about 16, your figure will fill out and you'll be a cutie!

Don't worry about it, you'll gain some more weight as you age. My daughter has been small her whole life. She's 28 now and 5' tall and weighs 95 pounds. The advantage everyone thinks she's cute. She still looks like a teen, which will be good for her later in life as she will most likely look in her 30's when she's in her 40's. BTW, when she was in high school, she had lots of boyfriends. They all thought she was cute. She was never without a date.

Wow, I kind of wish i were 66 lbs at 5'2... I'm 5'2 but around 115. Well I guess 66 is like really really little and I wouldnt exactly want that. Just work out, gain muscle!

Everyone is different, and every woman gets her curves at different times. I was a late bloomer, its just something you have to accept. If you want to put on weight, the healthiest way to do that is to work out. Read up on strength training (puts on muscle, which weighs more than fat). Theres a lot of information on the internet about that stuff.
Secondly, tell your friends to stop picking you up and calling you a kid. Tell them it hurts your feelings. People will treat you the way you let them treat you. My friends used to tease me because I have very fair skin, but when I asked them to stop, they did.

It's fine to be that little. Everyone grows at their own pace. They probably only call you a kid b/c ur small and light. Be proud and dont worry about what they say. Enjoy being little.

Thats RUDE cuz most of my friends are like you ya know not fat and I am in between so they think they can make fun of me! I ignored them and they finally stopped! try that and if they keep on saying mean things then get away from them b/c they r not your real friends!

If you really want to gain some weight, then next time you go to your doctor ask him what the best and healthiest way to gain weight is!!!
GOOD LUCK!

your friends are probably fat.

at 13 being 5'2 isn't a problem. being 66 lbs is though.

check your diet, talk to a doctor that's unhealthily low
