Women are equal, sure i think it's great that you would consider doing this. Lot's of marriages never take place simply because guys are afraid to ask and be rejected. GO. FOR IT.

I wouldn't do it... I mean, I would ask him flat out what his long-term plans were regarding our relationship if I felt it's been "too long" - but I would not formally propose. I kinda figure, with guys, that if they want something, they should show the initiative - and go for it. If he hasn't asked - it's probably because he simply doesn't want to marry me; how will ME asking HIM change anything? If he does want to marry me, but hasn't asked - it, to me, would mean that he is not decisive enough to take charge of important life decisions; and this isn't a quality I would like in a mate. To me it just seems that either way, I would want him to ask. But it is just a personal opinion, doesn't mean you shouldn't ask if you feel it's the "right" thing to do under the circumstances. Good luck!

The only thing that sounds funny is that either he isn't ready to ask or he is really shy or insecure or....he is not intrested in marraige. Almost every man I know, even the thugs, asked thier wives to get married. The women I know that asked a man to marry them did it for selfish reasons. Good luck, the worst that can happen is if he says no. Then you should evaluate the whole relationship.

I don't think there is anything wrong with women proposing. As long as you are not too pushy, it should be fine. Hope he accepts and you are not disappointed. Best of luck and have a very Happy New Year

If I knew for 150% that the answer would be yes, then I would. What's stopping him from proposing to you!

I think it's OK as long as you two are in love with each other. Just be gentle.
