I keep reading reviews about PC Cillin Internet Security 2007, and people seem to either love the new edition or absolutely hate it. I'm not very computer savvy and I'm very worried about updating my computer. If something goes wrong I'm on my own and I would prefer not to raise my stress level 40 points. I have the 2006 version and it works well enough that I was considering updating to the 2007 version. Has anyone used the 2007 version and if so what did you think, also, is there anyway for me to keep my 2006 version and just pay to have it keep updating itself for another year. I believe Norton lets its users do something of that nature but I'm not sure about Cillin. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I would not upgrade just yet.

Most xxx.0 version of any software will get bugs in them. If your 2006 version is still supported by the vendor, and the malware updates are delivered, there is no real reason to upgrade to 2007.

I suggest you revisit this question third quarter of 2007, when pricing will most likely have dropped further.
