Durgin Park has always served a terrific steak, all in a unique atmosphere. It's been around since the early 1800's, so they've gotta be doing something right.

They also used to do fabulous lobster dishes. Be sure to go hungry as the portions (especially the prime rib) are huge.

I would say the filet at the Rustic Kitchen, or the Capital Grille. I think those would tie for my favorite places, and I always get steak at both! (Smith and Wollensky, and Ruth Chris' Steakhouse are both great as well, but I perfer the first mentioned)

Ken's Steakhouse in Framingham on Route 9 is a local favorite. Been in business for a LONG time. Framingham is 25 mins from Boston.

capital grille, ruth chris, morton, abe and louis,or if you are looking for a cheaper version that has a much less stuffy feel seek out the texas road house its a big chain but in my opinion its steak is just as good as all the pricey ala carte places side orders are a little more generic though

Not sure about steak --- but the BEST lobster tails and clam chowder are at Legal Seafood ---- I am almost positive that they also have "a steak and tail" entree - it must be excellent to match the lobster!
