If all love is is merely a physical attraction between two beings based off the instinctive urge to procreate, chemical and hormonal drives, and the human condition dictating that we are social animals, then no.

If, however, love is something far more profound, if the world and all we know are not so shallow as to cease at an objective level, if life, death, creation, and our very existence all have actual meaning beyond mere definitive, concrete human perception, then yes.

To believe a love can be so strong it can survive death is to imagine and hold close the notion that there is greater meaning to our days and relationships than this hour ...this moment, that two can be conjoined in an intricate web that exists within, but also beyond time and space. So the answer is ...why not? If all we know about our origins is "The Big Bang" and we have no clue what comes before and we postulate many dimensions beyond the experienced collection then ...why not? Hold your beliefs fast and discover the meaning they reveal.

When a person dies, that is the end. There is no more feeling emotionally or physically. A love like that is a very romantic idea that helps romance authors sell their books. You should not always believe what you read. Much of it is false and written for the purpose of selling something.

If you mean can you sustain a strong love for someone that has died? Yes, in fact as time goes by the love becomes stronger as you look back on your memories.

If you mean can you sustain a strong love for someone after you die? I don't think so as there is no proof that you continue to exist in any form.

I think love can survive death. It is realizing that our essence, our spirit will never die - what makes us good, valued and precious. I think the way you deal with that has to be handled with grace not comparing it to a physical love with the person as if they're alive but using that love to make you stronger.

Whether you think it can or cannot, you're right either way. Life is a giant matter of perspective. Universally speaking, we may never know, but we can give our best stab at it through our opinions. Through how we see things.

Yes and no. But if you can't let go of someone who is dead, then it's not a good thing.
