Life is worth living if you have something to live for. Whenever you feel down think of all of the people who love you like your family. And think about how different their lives would be if say, you died.

You may be experiencing some type of unsatisfactory relationship. This may not necessarily be with a spouse or significant other, it may be with a sibling, parent, or friend. What you need to do is try to identify what makes (or what has made) the relationship unsatisfactory. Try to make the necessary changes or take steps towards those changes. Ask yourself "How do I want to feel, and what can I do to get there?" Life isn't always easy and you are never alone. Based on your question, read some books on mindfullness and other Eastern philosophy topics. These books deal with the beauty that life brings from an everyday approach. In the meantime...
1. identify what it is that is making you unhappy
2. know that change is possible
3. help is always available
4. if you are living in regret...stop...focus on today
5. know that you are mot alone although it may feel that way
6. find beauty in the little things
7. and lastly...never give up

You are asking two questions. In answer to the first, "Why do I constantly feel like life isn't worth living," you are depressed. Depression makes you feel this way even though it isn't true. With proper diagnosis, counsel ling and perhaps medication, the feeling will go away and life will feel like it is worth living again. Go to your doctor and ask him or her for help.

In answer to your second question, "Is life really worth living?" the answer is a loud YES! And it is possible to live it with feelings of happiness and even joy. I say this because I used to feel as you do, but recognized the negative feelings about life were all in my head, not the fault of life itself. I became determined that if I was going to live life, I was going to live it happily. I succeeded in this by seeking professional help.

I truly feel for you and hope this helps.

Because this world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery. We are not these bodies, IE; race, color, religion, nationality, mind, intellect, job, etc. We are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, ect. We have to reconnect with our Maker to actually be happy. Don't committe suicide because it never ends suffering it only prolongsit. We don't die only the body dies. If we take our own life we become a miserable ghost who is so lonly and suffers incessently what they felt at the time of death. The best way to get out of misery and illusion and become truly happy is to chant the Maha Mantra (the great mantra for deliverance from suffering and Illusion. go to krishnaculture. for details. Read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada- gives one the purpose of human life and what the soul is. go to stephen-knapp. for e-book The Key to real Happiness. I think every person at one time or another feels like that. I really hope you get through this period of time in your life. Just try to take one moment at a time. Try not to dwell in the past, worry about the future. The key to happiness, I think, is to try to live in the very moment. Another thing that helps is to write a gratitude list. Look at all the positive things you have in your life. You will be surprised at how much there truly is to live for. Most importantly love yourself and when times are really tough say a prayer for yourself to get through the tough times.

Life is only worth living if you have something to life for. Or should I say Someone? This world only offers temporary happiness: money, fame, etc. If this is all your living for, there doesn't seem to be much to live for. Which is why the world isn't the thing you should be living for. Living for something eternal gives life meaning. Jesus Christ is who I live for, it is in Him only that I find my joy, my passion, my reason for life. He offers eternal joy, eternal love, eternal life. God is the one true reason fro everything that am. I live everyday for Him, for He is everything to me.

"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever."
- 1 John 2:15-18

I hope this helps. Before I knew Christ i often felt there was no reason to continue living. But i've found a renewed strength and purpose in my life that is only from God.

in life, you have to understand what you really want for, everybody has difference value of life. if you want to give up your life, that is totally unworth. in the moment you want to give up, give yourself a spare minute to think what you have good in you life and forget the sad one.
