i think the best thing to do would be to have your friends and family help you through this they are always there for you whenever you feel like pulling out your hair try calling them instead or reward yourself when you resit the urge to pull out your hair give yourself something that you like but rember that yur friends and family are your own #1 fans and let them help you through this hope everything turns out ok

You can try to substitute a less embarrasing habit to replace the pulling. I've heard that some people have success with rubber bands...pull them back and let them snap...this relieves the habit and pain parts of the compulsion. This is not a total fix, therapy would be the full solution...remember that there are good therapists and bad therapists...just like in everything else. Plus you may want to find a specialist in this.....good luck.

I don't think it's that embarrassing. Try getting to the root of the problem or seeing a psychiatrist.

Easier: you could just get a haircut (professionals can make short hair look great!).

I have a friend who has the same problem and wakes up often with a lot of missin ghair.
I would try hyponosis. It works for many preople, it's private, and you might find the root of why yuo are doing this.

first, find he root of your problem, are you anxious, excited, depressed and work on a solution. the hair-pulling is only a symptom of a problem so if you solved the prob, the hair-pulling will go away.

you have to go see a therapist, there is obviously a reason that you are doing that, my friends daughter used to do this, she got help and now she is fine. I think it is more embarrassing not to get help then to do it in the first place

i don't, but it seems fascinating. i used to have OCD, though, so i can sort of relate. it freaked the hell out of me; i was constantly on my nerve's end. it's weird because i eventually grew out of it.
