To impeach a president is the same as having/getting him fired.
There is no imprisonment involved.
He may have commited a crime that led to the impeachment but it is a different subject.

Impeachment is only the process of filing formal charges against a sitting president, or any public official. Conviction is a whole different matter, and there is no further penalty than removal from office prescribed by the Constitution.
