My hubby and I are haveing a problem with baby names. I want to use the name Sean and he wants the name Vincent. I like the name Sean Vincent, but he refuses to use Vincent as a middle name, and I just don't think that Vincent Sean sounds right. There is a family reason for using the name Sean and he doesn't mind just using it and not Vincent, but I'm due in 2 weeks and I'm having a hard time coming up with a good middle name or even first name that would work with Sean. The family member that is being named after was Shawn Michael and I don't want to use that exact name, and I don't want to use the name Michael instead of Shawn. So anyways if anyone has some cool names that have Sean in them then I would be very grateful. Also if there are any ideas for maybe a name to fill in this blank Vincent _______ Sean then I'll take them too. Thanks bunches.

In response to someones answer, the family reason for using the name Sean is that my younger brother Shawn was killed by a hit and run driver 2 years ago. The night he died, right befor walking out the door to leave he and my little sister were haveing a discussion about who was prego me or her and he looked her straight in the eyes and told her that she was not me. We found out 4 weeks later that she was 6 weeks prego. Then 2 weeks after the anniversery of his death I find out that I am 4 weeks prego and due 1 week before my new nephew's first b-day (and he was born a week late). So there will not be 2 kids running around with the same name causing confusion. I am using the name as an honor for my brother.

well we finally decided on a name. We are naming him Sean LeRoy. Yea I know kinda out there but Sean is for my brother and LeRoy is for my hubbys dad. (He has prostate cancer, and this will most likely be the last grandkid, and other family issues) We figured if we were gonna do the name for a reason then it would be the thing to do. Thanks to all who gave input. There were some really great names.

You are the one who's having a baby, why can't your husband accept that Vincent can be a middle name, which is better than nothing?
I do not like the first name Vincent because I knew this mexican kid who was prejudice and a bully so I know I wouldn't use that name for a boy.
If the other kid's name in your family was Shawn, then let him have the name. It would be confusing at family gatherings when there is 2 kids named Shawn/Sean then you would have to use their middle names to call them out.
So there's no point. There's no individuality there.
I would prefer it if I had my own name anyway and not be able to share it.
Instead of Vince, how about Vance or Victor? Instead of Sean, how about Seth?
So how about

I like the name Sean Vincent myself, but since that seems to be out you could also use:
Sean Patrick,
Sean Anthony,
Sean William,
Sean Arthur,
Sean Martin,
Sean Mark,
Sean Dylan or
Sean Gregory.
As for Vincent ______ Sean, you could use just about any of the middle names above.
Congratulations on the baby!!

Some names that might work:
Matthew, Logan, Liam, Lauchlan, Tyler, Henry, Jacob, Miles, Elliot, Julian, Colin, Benjamin
and no offence to your husband, but Sean is so much better than Vincent. I really like the sound of Sean Vincent.
p.s. do you really want to have a little Vinny?

I think it's cool when mothers use their maiden names if they can. For instance if your maiden name was Brewer the name could be Vincent Sean Brewer. P.S. I love the name Vincent.
P.S.S. I used to babysit for a little blonde boy by the name of Sean Christian. Sean Christopher is also good.
Best Wishes! I would love to know what you end up with!!
