Business courses and public speaking. Stuff like finance, accounting, etc.

Sports lawyers do a lot of work related to contracts and things like that. Build up your base in how the business world works and worry about the law stuff in law school. It's not necessary, but check to see if the law school you're interested in has a sports law class. Mine was taught by the legal counsel to the Sacramento Kings. Even had Geoff Petrie come speak one time. That was pretty cool.
