I RSVP'd "no" to my friend's evite for her New Years Party. She lives 200 miles away. She didn't say that she felt that I owed her an explanation until something else made her upset with me. This is the something else: I forgot that her mother's friend asked for a place to rent back in Sept or Oct and ended up renting to someone else yesterday after having this vacancy for a couple of weeks. She feels that we owe each other explanations, I feel she should communicate her concerns before little things snowball. We went round and round on me asking her to accept/forgive and how she feels that I made an excuse and I could have ridden with some of her family who live near me that plan to go and I would not have to incur any expense of my own. I feel that people should not go places if they can't pull their own weight or expect handouts from others. She was offended because she considers me family. She says she learned her lesson about me.
