"Punding" is just their version of reality. As we all know, everyone does not live in the same shared reality. We hope that most of us live in a shared reality most of the time, like when we're art work or out in public, but this is not necessary true for all of us all the time. Pundits live in a shared fantasy world, and they like it loud, so they can shove it down everyone else's throat. That's why it's called, "Punding"!
